Windows 7 and the Family Pack

Microsoft has issued the following news in the forum of his blog: "Install Windows 7 on 3 different computers with the Family Pack"

The Redmond company continues to create excitement and now announces that the family pack of 3 licenses to install your new operating system, Windows 7, in 3 different computers (one license per computer).

After testing betatesters and having read the opinions of the people, it seems that they have been heard and Microsoft will take into account, since they have realized (or conclude) that people have more than one PC at home.

Currently unknown price, everything happen.

Migrating from Windows Vista to Windows 7

I remember when it was launched, Aero my attention, but his re resource consumption was too high, so I was one of his detractors, I started using it because it came installed in the laptop and I wanted to give him one more chance before back to my reliable Windows XP.

However, I have never changed, not so much because they believe that Windows Vista had dramatic improvements, in fact, I had several compatibility problems with some solutions that were already in operation, the reason why I stay with Vista is because I used to him, besides that I also needed to test the compatibility of development programs, as several of the users served using this OS.

While Windows Vista was some improvement in its operation, it is also true that several details that existed, from my point of view, they were errors that needed to be corrected quickly, some of which were corrected during the service pack, however, many still found there, the consumption of resources.

So, when I had the opportunity to migrate to Windows 7, thanks to the beta by Microsoft and the recommendation of one of my colleagues in the community, do not hesitate even a second.

First of all we have 2 options for installation in my case, given the number of programs that I installed, I decided to make an update, which is only possible from Windows Vista

Indeed, as detailed for the update you need a minimum of 14 Gbs free, given that during the process create a temporary directory where you move your configuration data, the process is slow, in my case takes about 4 hours during which time you should not turn off the computer

The result is excellent, in my case I did not have any data loss or problems with the programs installed, before starting the Windows 7 will tell you which are incompatible and whether there are new updates whenever you have internet connection

Another interesting thing, all the drivers admitted that they used only necessary to upgrade the video card

A small detail is that, finally, the bug was with the network connections has been fixed in Windows Vista was terribly annoying

Indeed, after installing, you are not forget to activate Windows 7 via the Internet, or you will be effective only for 30 days

Microsoft will launch a music service to compete with Spotify

Given the success that was popular with his Spotify music service, Microsoft has announced that its plans are to launch a music service similar via streaming, with which users can share music online, access information and to download albums Payments content.

The information has come from the mouth of Peter Bale, executive producer of MSN, "Music is an important area for Microsoft. We are looking at launching a music streaming service so prominent. " Without giving many details explained that although it is believed that the service will adopt similar policies to Spotify, still is reviewing the business model works best. Even an option is included in the service of Xbox. Although not yet know the model of service, which Microsoft is betting to have early to late this month, yes yes, the end of July.

So we look forward to this new release and hope that is also accessible from the southern hemisphere. Meanwhile I would like to remind you that the service Spotify is an application used to listen to music via streaming for free if users accept advertising inserted every half hour. Otherwise, listen to music and view information for each artist, album and group without the annoying advertising license must pay a U $ S16 a month.

We will see what Microsoft acquires mode, if similar to that applied for the Xbox, it will have to pay for better service.

Create an installation disc for Windows 7 on a pendrive

A few weeks ago that Microsoft had planned to use as an alternative pendrives sales of the new Windows 7. We will have an application that does something like that. A Bootable USB is an application that is responsible for creating a USB ISO with the contents of the Windows installation.

It is an application running under Windows Vista and is portable, so you will not be necessary to install anything. Moreover, the process is very easy and intuitive: you must have a pendrive of 4GB or more and the ISO image of Windows 7 (beta or RC, you want). A good choice for a Windows installation disc 7 in hand.

Daemon Tools in Windows 7

Today I will take a "solution" to something that has been giving me some other headache!

It is now my operating system Windows 7 (such as evaluation copy, anyone can download, is running until July 2010, I remember) for about problemillas I had on my pc, and on another occasion to tell you xD. The issue is that once I installed Daemon Tools, the following occurs: entry tells me that there are compatibility issues, which I ignored (in most cases nothing happens, as in the other partition Magic 8 destroys the hard drives you ..), it is the first part of the installation correctly, so far in asking to restart, perform, and here is the problem, the installation starts again from 0.

Not really the reason this happens, but I need an editor for cd / dvd, because I have almost everything from. Iso, because I found another program called Virtual CloneDrive, also free, and it works wonders for one thousand

Windows 7 would be the RTM build 7600

After an unexpected delay in the compilation of the final RTM (many of us had the illusion of see the list of Windows 7 on Monday) announced Wzor what this build, the 7600.
Recall that we announced the RTM for the July 13, information is left presipitadamente after the announcement of the company in Redmond which reported a major breakthrough for this Monday. And this progress was nothing more than the official beta of Office 2010, unfortunately, not the RTM of Windows 7.

Many say, and there is still hope, that we see the final build in late July, but it might be delayed.

Here is the image of the build 7600. While we are disoriented and means that a build estabamos Throughout 7264, but just remember the onset of build 7201, a day out of the RC (7,100).

Nvidia Drivers for Windows 7

While this news is not very new, not more comment from the output of the beta versions of Windows 7, to work for Nvidia drivers for this operating system. Both Microsoft and Nvidia, it is expected a higher performance graphics with this operating system for both games as tools for design professionals to the new Microsoft operating system includes new version of DirectX, version 11, because we have the version 10 .

By the time the game industry there is no game that uses all the advantages it provides us with DirectX 11, because so far most have been developed for DirectX9 and DirectX10, but still these games within Windwos 7, could esperimentar an improvement in the quality of your colors, Hase Obviously this is not just the operating system, we need a good video card that supports the system.

Nvidia has an official website with information about the performance of their video cards in Windows 7, as well as download drivers, among other things quite interesting, I invite you to visit the site and are aware of all developments that have Nvidia prepared for this new system.

Microsof Gazelle

Following the announcement of Chrome OS, rumors of a Microsoft product that would compete with Google operating system have not stopped. Much has been made of an application called "Gazelle", but details are scarce.

At first we heard that Gazelle is an OS-function browser (as has been said about Chrome OS), but it seems that the reality is different. As we understand, this is a super-secure browser, with an operation similar to Chrome. Like the Chrome browser (not the OS), divided in different work processes. The difference is that open a new process for each element on a page, not only for each page. In this way, each server that this content be isolated from the rest of the operating system and applications. Gazelle also have a central kernel, and so the project has been confused with an OS.

It should be clear stay running under Windows, and the machine remains the Trident rendering in IE. Anyway, for now Gazelle is only a draft, and there is a chance that never comes to light, but Microsoft has the last word.

Windows Mail, Set up Email Accounts on Windows 7

Since the arrival of Windows Vista, Microsoft changed the traditional manager-mail, the new Outlook Express, Windows Mail is still on the new Windows 7.

But unlike previous versions of Windows, the system does not automatically placed on a program icon on the desktop or quick launch bar, with plenty of users who are unaware that there is still a mail manager that is installed by default with the system.

For those who still have not found the route is Start, All Programs, Windows Mail, then took a shortcut that place where we like and what we have at hand.

In Windows Mail, there are slight variations to the configuration of Outlook Express that we already saw in the manuals to set up Hotmail and Yahoo, but more the interface than anything else.

But for those who remain, or have created a new Hotmail account and want to download mail to your PC, taking advantage of Microsoft decided to support POP3 to Hotmail free email, we have prepared destroyerweb manuals on setting the manager Windows Mail with email accounts and more used to offer POP3 or IMAP support:

Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade (Wau) and Family Pack price leak

Windows Anytime Upgrade (Wau), which first introduced for Windows Vista is Microsoft's sales program to allow customers with cheaper, lower-end and minus features of the editions of Windows 7 to upgrade to more premium edition Windows 7. Microsoft also offer Family Pack pricing for Windows Vista Ultimate customers to purchase additional licenses of Windows Vista Home Premium prices cheaper. The family package is likely to be offered to customers of Windows 7 too.

Ed Bott of ZDNet has revealed prices for the family package of Windows 7 and Windows Anytime Upgrade option, thanks to various merchants who have filtered prices, by accident or by mistake.

The world learned of the possibility of the family pack provides customers with Windows 7 when the EULA (End User License Agreement) for retail copies of Home Premium Windows 7 (including Windows 7 E, N, K, KN Home Premium ) contains a "Family Pack" clause:

If you are a "family package qualified user, you may install one copy of the software marked as" Family Pack "on three computers in your household for use by people who reside there. The computers are "licensed computer and is subject to license terms. If you do not know if you are a qualified user Family Pack, see go.microsoft.com / fwlink /? Link = 141399 or contact the Microsoft subsidiary serving your country.

Thanks to a product code (part number) GFC-00236 Family Pack for Windows 7, Windows 7 Pack Family / Home Premium Upgrade (GFC-00236) appears with a price of $ 136.95 on ExperCom. Another e-commerce site of the University IT Computer Sales lists the Windows 7 Family Pack - Upgrade Home Premium product at $ 144.95, while CompSource has W7 Family Pack - Home Premium Upgrade product priced at $ 147. All products are made available or out of balance, however.

If this is indeed the true 7 Windows Home Premium upgrade version of the price of family package, which only a little over a full upgrade license price will be a bit cheaper than the end of the price for Windows Home Premium Upgrade 7. Still, it is unclear whether Microsoft will have the same conditions applied for the Windows Vista Family Pack for Windows 7, the customer must purchase a license for Windows 7 Ultimate Edition to qualify for the Family Pack. If so, which will greatly reduce the attractiveness of the family pack.

Seeking Windows 7 Family Pack price unexpected disclosure also provides information on the prices of Windows Anytime Upgrade (Wau) to Windows 7. To date, Microsoft has revealed little about Windows Anytime Upgrade 7, unless it is offered directly by Microsoft, and through retailers, but no OEM.

Office 2010: The Movie

Microsoft will move heaven and earth to use their products, this time from Redmond they thought of launching a movie, the movie Office 2010.

RTM Windows 7 on July 13

Confirming the date of July 13 for the release of version RTM (release to manufacturing) of Windows 7. This is the final version for which there will be no major changes until the final version. The date coincides with the world fair of Microsoft partners to be held in New Orleans and will begin precisely on the 13th. That same day RTM Windows 7 could be available to MSDN and TechNet subscribers, and may appear later in P2P networks.

Microsoft is finalizing the setting up of the launch of Windows 7 before summer. After communicating the decision to sell Windows without Internet Explorer 7 in Europe and to publish their pricing and promotions, it is the turn now to finalize the code. Version RTM (Release to Manufacturing) is the penultimate step, the main points of the system already in place and only a few remaining loose ends and correcting errors.

We already know the plans of Microsoft via the web Wzor always informed, but now we get confirmation through GeekSmack: the release date of the RTM will be July 13. The distribution of this release, however, be much smaller. Only provide the partners and through the MSDN and Technet for premium users.

The launch coincides with the first day of the conference of Microsoft partners in New Orleans, now that the Redmond company most likely to build a distribution and show the first changes to the RTM fanfare. No breakthroughs are expected in this version, as seen in the build that have appeared on P2P networks, but a higher processing speed and compatibility.

Most likely in mid-July and be able to find copies on P2P networks in the RTM, but it is also possible that Microsoft in this case more carefully, since the RTM is much closer to the final version is not known and possible revocation . Meanwhile, the beta version has already stopped working and RC1 installed on many computers in the world fail to do so next year.

Windows 7: 80,000 Drivers

Little by little are known features of Windows 7, Microsoft now seems to be going the right direction with its next operating system.

Windows 7 will be released on October 22 this year promises to be compatible with either hardware or software.

What we like best of Windows 7 are the few resources it needs to function properly and several corrections from Microsoft regarding what happened with Vista.

Microsoft warning of a new security hole in Explorer

The vulnerability allows hackers to remotely control computers.

The Redmond company has to announce a security breach on your navigation tool and with it are already quite a few. The problem, which has not yet been fixed, affects users of Explorer working with the operating system Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

According to security experts say cyber criminals would have opened the gap for a week, changing thousands of pages to trick users and make them become infected. After visiting one of these sites, suggested by emails attractive, and "contaminated" with malicious hackers can remotely control their computers.

The problem, which has been called "zero-day" is related to the video section, especially when capturing, recording or playback with ActiveX and Windows Media Center. "When the ActiveX control used in Explorer it can corrupt the system state so that an attacker could execute arbitrary code," said Microsoft in a statement.

The manufacturer is working on a remedy for the violation, according to Associated Press. Meanwhile recommends disabling some of these problems, which is possible through the Microsoft home page on the Internet. It is unknown when the number of teams that could have been infected.

Windows 7 is ready, continues its path in October

Ignoring what could suggest the grandmother, the rumor on the web is that Microsoft will now culminated in the development process of Windows 7 in just a week and start with the raw copy (and any division) in your system operational in just a matter of days.

NeoWin citing "sources close to the company," which, incidentally, appear to coincide with early rumors suggest that the new operating system from the Redmond giant phase will reach its RTM (release-to-manufacturing) this particular July 13.

Prove to be true, Windows 7 is ready to prove to the masses at this very moment, however, Microsoft plans there is no intention of releasing anything more than this Win7 until October 22, something that does not sound fetched at all (if we report the view of gold production reached in November 2006, only to debut some three months later, in February 2007).

Moreover, since the differences between this version (RTM) and the final product is almost zero, is (very) unlikely to hear anything new regarding the Release Candidate now pervades the torrents and downloads from Microsoft's channel, not at all . However, NeoWin said that the members of TechNet and MSDN and found some partners will have opportunities to put their claws into the "new version" for evaluation (ie, to ensure compatibility of third party software and hardware drivers certain scenarios).

Windows: Reveals the shortcuts (hotkeys) active

Keyboard shortcuts in Windows is very useful because that way we work as fast as possible. me in particular I love using keyboard shortcuts as possible of the times. I have always known that I need to know yet.

However, this situation (which I am still missing many shortcuts to know) is over. Not by magic, but I found ActiveHotkeys excellent free program in English that shows which key combinations (or shortcuts) are enabled in Windows.

ActiveHotkeys shows in its interface what all these hotkeys are active. The software works as follows: you have a panel on the left, choose which keys you want form the combinations you want to find out if it got the hotkeys working or not. In the right panel show the results then.

Ultimately ActiveHotkeys is completely free, by the way that is fully portable, so it does not require any installation. Play with the combinations is not difficult, it's a matter of trying to go with the various keys to see which one suits us.

Classic start menu in Windows 7 Classic Start Menu ...

We already know the advantages that Windows 7 offers users new and important features. Obviously many are missing the classics, like the old start menu as ever, but quiet, which was designed for that Classic Start Menu.

Unfortunately did not include the Windows 7 start menu classic, however we choose Classic Start Menu, a free software designed for Windows 7 that will allow the user to simulate the classic Start menu of those earlier versions of Windows.

Classic Start Menu does not replace the start menu of Windows 7 today, only be implemented as an application and to access it, you can have the classic start menu. Obviously, you can create a shortcut in the "superbarra" Windows 7.
